New startup in portfolio: AltaIR Capital invests in The Swarm, a Go-To-Network Platform

The Swarm, the leading Go-To-Network (GTN) platform, has announced the successful closure of its seed funding round. The round was led by 500 Global, a venture capital fund with $2.7B in assets under management and 49 unicorns in over 20 countries.

AltaIR Capital has also participated in this round, as well as Singularity Capital with contributions from additional funds and angel investors.

The Swarm platform streamlines the process of identifying and facilitating warm, viable introductions through a company's team and external stakeholders. It enables companies to combine their networks into a collective network, showcases comprehensive profiles for each connection, and automatically calculates the strength of each relationship. This innovation allows companies to systematically reveal pathways into target accounts and connect with the right individuals up to ten times faster than traditional methods.

Traditional methods like LinkedIn are often inundated with noise and aren’t purpose-built for warm introductions. Cold outreach, on the other hand, is increasingly ineffective.

David Connors, Co-Founder & CEO at The Swarm, states, "Warm introductions and network assists are incredibly effective for building companies, whether in sales, fundraising, or recruiting. Until now, the process of seeking and requesting introductions has been slow, manual, and impossible to systematize. The Swarm Go-To-Network platform is tailored to address these challenges. We’re effectively enabling a new kind of warm outbound, at scale."

The platform is currently available in open beta at app.theswarm.com and has already been used by over 750 organizations.
